This just happened. Patient was out at brunch and while biting a bagel with her front teeth , the restoration on the lateral broke in half. Since these are composite veneers I was able to complete the repair in one visit using composite bonding material.
I always tell my patients to avoid tearing anything with their front teeth in order to avoid unwanted fractures. And some food items should be cut in small pieces prior to eating it. Teeth and dental restorations aren’t invincible.

One of the most difficult cases for a cosmetic dentist is the seamless replacement of a front tooth. This patient had fallen at home and her tooth was avulsed.
She rejected the implant option so I restored the area with a full porcelain three unit fixed bridge and replaced the unsightly crown on the lateral tooth. Once I obtained the wax up and had a smile trial this case progressed very smoothly with a total of three visits.

Very challenging implant case replacing a missing lateral. My periodontist did a fantastic job with the gum grafting to minimize any metal show through at the gum line. Once everything was healed I placed a porcelain crown over a zirconium custom abutment on the implant.

Black ⚠️ Triangle Closure
No tooth reduction needed which is a plus when I am rebuilding the anatomy with composite resin. Black triangles are not only unaesthetic they also lead to food impaction and plaque buildup which are detrimental to optimal periodontal (gum) health.
