Teeth-Whitening

Coffee, teas, tobacco, red wine, antibiotics and age can all darken teeth over time.  Luckily, patients can choose  between two ways to reverse these effects and end up with beautiful teeth several shades whiter.

Home Whitening

This is the most preferred method to whiten teeth. Custom made trays are worn 1-2 hours a night for about a week. The importance of custom trays is that it allows the

solution to be in close contact with the teeth therefore maximizing whitening and protecting the gums.

Laser Whitening

Our practice has been using dental whitening lasers since they were first introduced in 1996. The argon laser for whitening has been the most efficient with whitening of the teeth. It’s done right n the office and it takes under two hours to complete.

Some sensitivity can occur with the procedure afterwards but it subsides within a few hours.

Whitening only removes stain from your enamel. It does not change the enamel itself. If your enamel does not whiten to your expectations there are other procedures which will enable you to reach your goal such as veneers, crowns and bondings. Our office can guide you in choosing the best option for you.
