Sedation Dentistry in Newport Beach

Sedation Dentistry Treatment using Laughing Gas

Sedation Dentistry at Coastal Smiles Newport Beach

We recognize that a visit to the dentist makes some people uneasy. Imagine being able to accomplish all your dental care in as little as one appointment and having your dentistry performed while you relax or nap comfortably.

We offer both Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) and I-V sedation right here in the office with one of the most highly skilled board certified  anesthesiologists in the country. Our chosen partners skills and expertise has been appreciated by many who realize now they are not afraid of going to the dentist anymore. If you have been putting off years of dental work, sedation dentistry can change your life.

How will I feel after laughing gas?
The effects of Nitrous Oxide wear off as soon as the gas is removed.  The patient is then able to get up and perform their daily life (including walking, driving, working) right after the procedure.

How will I feel after IV Sedation?
You can usually leave the office with a responsible adult within 20 minutes after the procedure is completed. It is common to sleep off much of the afternoon, eat a light evening meal, and be completely recuperated by morning. Complications of any sort are unusual.

Will My Insurance Cover Anesthesia Services?
Anesthesia may be a benefit of your dental and medical carriers. Whether or not your carrier reimburses you depends on policy restrictions, maximum yearly benefits, and premiums paid by your employer. We will make every effort to assist you in obtaining the maximum allowable benefit allowable under your policy provisions.

Committed To Your Safety
Your anesthesia is closely monitored by our anesthesiologist using the latest state-of-the-art electronic medical anesthesia equipment. This is the standard of care found in hospitals and outpatient surgical centers and we believe you deserve that same high level of care in our office.
